Renfe Spanish high speed trains

Spanish day trains. High speed AVE connection between cities like Madrid, Barcelona, Seville etc.

Travelling through Spain is an enchanting experience on an AVE high speed train operated by RENFE. You’ll enjoy your journey on the most modern train fleet in Europe, and also benefit from attentive service in all classes of travel. The full name Alta Velocidad Española literally means Spanish High Speed, and AVE also means bird in Spanish. The RENFE operated trains definitely stay true to their name, reaching speeds of up to 300km/h (186mph). The AVE trains are a luxurious and efficient way to get around the country. With excellent customer service, punctuality and easy to understand fares, the AVE network continues to be a great boost to Spain’s tourism and business. RENFE is the Spanish national railway company which operates the AVE high speed trains.

  • "Travel With Style"
My 2 adult children and I wanted to travel to Madrid by flying but was advised by a friend to use the AVE train instead. Indeed we never reqretted our decision. The process from the security control to the boarding of the train was smooth. We enjoyed our ride and arrived with big smiles on our faces.    Convenience
  • "Fast "
Very enjoyable and stable ride, being able to commute to Barcelona in just 3 1/2 hours. No check in nightmare like that at airport. Would take the Rail Europe again in the future    Convenience
  • "Not comfortable, but worth it"
My trip was from Madrid to Lisbon (about 9 hours). I simply purchsed a seat, not a bed in the private rooms, for the night train that would arrive in Lisbon around 7:30am. I found tickets for cheaper than a flight would have cost and I enjoyed not wasting valuable travel time. Highly recommended. But be sure to bring your neck pillow and some snacks!    Convenience
  • "everything was nice "
thanks for your good job , and everything was nice    Convenience
  • "Excellent trip"
It was in fact our first rail trip in Europe. We took the Barcelona to Madrid trip to enjoy the scenery and the travel in the fast train. We enjoyed the service and the timely schedule such that we continued our travel by road to Granada and other places in Spain as planned. Thank you.    Convenience
  • "Good Train Journey"
we traveled to Spain and booked online. Booking is easy with refundable options provided as well. We could print tickets at home and all you need to do is present them at the station to gain access. Comfortable seats and journey, and good quick way to travel inter city especially when visiting Italy and Spain    Convenience
  • "Easy transition to the airport"
It was fast and very convenient for me to get to Madrid Barajas Airport. It was all due to the assistance by the staff that is stationed next to the ticket machines which she helped me with the ticket to T4 by explaining me that I can use my ticket from Sevilla to be scanned in order to get a new ticket to Madrid Barajas (T4). It was my first time, so I was not very familiar with the transition system.
  • "Excellent Train Ride"
I loved how convenient and comfortable the journey was from Malaga to Madrid. I had earlier taken the same train from Madrid to Malaga on the first class and i can vouch that it was a very pleasant and comfortable journey. Would not hesitate to use the service again in the future.    Convenience
  • "Wonderful Journey to Andulaci "
The Journey was comfortable and enjoyable ,we arrive to Granada in time, all the facilities are available in the train. For long journeys.I suggest to improve entertainment like TV and video games    Convenience
  • "Comfortable ride but....."
Was fast and comfortable ride. However there was not enough luggage space for our big (20 - 25kgs) luggage. The space was taken by the small cabin bags. we left out big luggage along the corridor. Also the seating was not the same as the time we booked. We booked for a 4 group seater. Our seat was 2 each side.    Convenience
  • "Comfortable and fast!"
Comfortable, fast and safe. This is a winning combination, for those who prefer to train than plane.
  • "Great Trip"
everything was very nice and fast. Clean train ,nice jazz music:) bad headphone connections bud not a big problem Goran    Convenience
  • "Madrid to Malaga"
This was our first experience of traveling by train from one city to another and our first trip to Spain. Wonderful experience, meal and beverage on our way to Malaga was great. Disappointed that no complimentary meal and beverage on our return to Madrid. Shocked to hear we had to pay for water! Both trips were upgraded to first class,so no service on return? Seats and temperature was very comfortable.
  • "Spanis Trains"
The Trains were very comfortable and the timings were also exact. All in all it was a very good journey.
  • "Train Ride"
